Public Services Librarian

The Greater Victoria Public Library (GVPL) is a well-loved, well-used community resource. We are an innovative library system with one of the highest per capita usage rates in Canada. Serving 318,000 residents and taxpayers in the Greater Victoria area on beautiful Vancouver Island, British Columbia, we provide library service to 10 municipalities.

We are currently looking for a part-time Public Services Librarian for the Saanich and Peninsula District to fill our Diversity portfolio. This position is responsible for helping to build inclusive and welcoming communities in Greater Victoria by providing programs and services that celebrate differences in race, ethnicities, culture, linguistic origin, gender identity and sexual orientation. The Librarian will support the goals of the Public Services department and GVPL’s strategic priorities.

This is a Union position; the hourly rate is $37.22 to $38.64.
