Canadians celebrate poetry every April, the month T.S. Eliot called “the cruellest month” in his famous poem “The Waste Land.” Clear away April showers with GVPL: join us for poetry-inspired events and take us up on some reading recommendations.

Paper Crafts and Poetry
For Adults. Ontario-based poet Penn Kemp will kick off this program with a performance of her poetry, followed by a paper craft led by artist Terry Ann Carter. Fold paper into a concertina-style, accordion book, using hand-written letters, words and text to decorate the interior pages. Use water colour pencil crayons to add embellishments to your keepsake book.
