What is Steampunk?

Different people define "steampunk" in different ways, but you can think of it as special brand of science fiction with a Victorian twist. It is typically set in 19th century England, but with steam powered technology that never really existed at the time. Mechanical dirigibles, clockwork automatons, and strange gadgets abound in this strange setting where the past meets the future.

A Word about The Steampunk Challenge for Parents: The Steampunk Challenge is designed to be a fun and informative way to learn about library resources. Students will explore the catalogue, library website, and digital content such as e-books and subscription databases. They will also be introduced to our Homework Help page and citation tips.
