Framing the Garden: Come to the Library for Tea and Poetry with Linda Rogers! (full story)

On August 18th, we will be celebrating Framing the Garden: Reflections of Victoria, a new book of poetry, prose and art compiled by Linda Rogers in honour of Victoria’s 150th year. You’re invited to don that special hat and join us for tea and poetry at GVPL’s literary event of the summer. This is your chance to hear some of Victoria’s greatest poets!

Get some perspective with Canadian Geographic's travelling photo exhibit at GVPL!

Between Aug 9th and 24th, the Central Branch will host a wonderful travelling photo exhibit organized by the National Capital Commission and Canadian Geographic. "Perspectives: Scenes of Canada's Capitals" features the stunning winning images of a contest asking photographers across the country to capture points of interest that reflect the uniqueness of each of the capital cities of Canada, and symbolize their role in our country. View them live in the Central Branch Rotunda or online.
