All branches of the Greater Victoria Public Library will be closed Sunday, July 1st and Monday, July 2nd for Canada Day. Regular library service will resume Tuesday, July 3rd.

To help celebrate the Royal BC Museum’s Dinosaurs Ancient Fossils, New Discoveries exhibition we’re having a little Dino fun of our own! Grab a ballot and hunt for the dino pics hidden in the children’s department at any of our branches. Write down where you saw the pics and drop your ballot in the draw box for a chance to win! One entry per person. Closing date is July 13, 2012.

Planning your summer events? GVPL's summer programs will be listed in our program calendar and open for registration beginning Friday, June 15. Summer programs fill up fast, so register soon. Beginning June 28, kids are invited to drop by their nearest library to pick up a copy of the 2012 Summer Reading Club reading record.
In celebration of the Victoria International Cycling Festival running June 1-24, GVPL is encouraging everyone with two wheels to visit the library by bicycle this Saturday. GVPL's avid cycling staff will also be cycling from branch to branch around all ten branches. Watch for us in your area, and in the meantime, check out this list of cycling-friendly books!
