The Greater Victoria Public Library is committed to providing people with disabilities access to our resources and to our facilities. Please see our Assistive Services Application.
Talking Books – The Greater Victoria Public Library provides diverse collections, resources and services to meet the needs of any individual who cannot read or access regular print material. We are currently introducing two new collections for print disabled patrons: Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA) and the National Network for Equitable Library Service (NNELS).
Visiting Library Services (VLS) – Borrowers who are confined to their homes can arrange to have library staff select material for them and have the material delivered to their door every month by a volunteer. Please see our Visiting Library Service Information Sheet.
Assistive Technology – Assistive technology refers to any piece of equipment that eliminates or diminishes barriers to information and maximizes independence.
