Password/PIN

Your library card and password enable complete access to all our online and in-branch services:

  • Access My Account online.
  • Access My Account via phone (password/PIN not required)
  • Use all our eResources (these include online newspapers, magazine articles, downloadable audio books, and much more).
  • Use our public-access computers (this includes Internet access) at any GVPL location.

Library card numbers are entered without spaces.

’Privilege expired’ indicates that your library card needs to be renewed.


Forgot your Password?

If your email address is included in My Library Account:

  • From the My Account login page click Forgot your Password.
  • When you enter your library barcode you’ll get an email message with a link to re-set your password
  • Passwords are restricted to combinations of letters and numbers. They cannot contain other characters such as punctuation.

If you prefer to have us reset your password:

  • Please visit any GVPL branch or call Customer Service at 250-940-GVPL (4875).
  • To maintain your privacy, staff will need your library card number and personal information such as your name, phone number, date of birth, etc.
