Maxine used to be famous. Shiny, fabulous famous. Back in the '90s, Maxine released a hit single with teenage girl group Variety. But success was short-lived. Now Maxine's husband writes cheesy jingles for a living, her PA is a mobile phone app and the girl band she manages are threatening to fire her. Maxine decides to form Mum Pop, a girl band made up entirely of mums. Now Maxine just needs to find some mums. And music. And an audience.
