In summer, in a vacation home by a lake, twelve surprisingly mature teenagers and their parents spend their days in a torpor of alcohol, drugs and sex. When a storm hits the region, plunging it into chaos, the young people, including Eve, the narrator, leave the place, leaving behind these adults whose inaction exasperates them and frightens them.
