Use library computers and rooms
Your library card gives you access to more than books. Use library computers, print documents, and find a quiet place to work, learn, or connect. Whether you need a computer for a few minutes or a study room for a group project, our branches offer flexible spaces and technology to help you get things done.

Library computers
Every GVPL branch offers free access to public computers with a library card. You do not need a booking to use a computer. You can sit down at any available station. To ensure a computer is available, you can reserve a regular or adaptive computer in one-hour sessions.
Express computers cannot be booked. These are available first come, first served for 15-minute sessions.
Library computers and printers shut down 15 minutes before closing. Please plan ahead if you need time to save or print your work.
Booking a library computer
With a library card, you can book a computer up to one week in advance by phone or at any branch.
Please arrive within 15 minutes of your booking time. Otherwise, the computer may be made available to another patron.
Extending your session
You may extend your computer session if no one else has booked or is waiting for that computer. If the station is needed, staff can help you find another available computer when possible.

Printers and photocopiers
All GVPL branches offer up to 25 pages per day of free black-and-white and colour printing and photocopying. Print from any library computer or use a branch printer to make photocopies. Printing is available only from library computers.
You will need a library card to use printing and photocopying services. As with computers, printers shut down 15 minutes before closing time.

Study rooms and pods
Study rooms and pods offer a quieter place to focus, meet with others, attend online appointments, or work on projects.

Booking a room or pod
You do not need a reservation to use a study room if one is available. Simply let our front desk staff know before you drop in, but we recommend booking if you want to guarantee a space during your visit.
Study rooms can be booked for up to two hours at a time. Reservations can only be made on the day of use.
To book a study room, visit the front desk at any branch. If you require advance booking as an accessibility accommodation, please contact us or speak with staff at any branch. We are happy to help find a solution that works for you.
If you don’t arrive within 15 minutes of the booking start time, the room will be available for others to use.
