GVPL is thrilled to partner with Dance Victoria to offer the community a chance to win a pair of tickets!
The contest is open to all ages. To enter, pick up a ballot at any GVPL branch. The contest begins Monday, November 2, at 10 am and closes Saturday, November 14, at 6 pm. Please limit entries to one per person.
The winner will be randomly drawn on Tuesday, November 17.
The winner can choose either the Friday, November 27, at 7 pm performance or the Saturday, November 28, at 7 pm performance.
Contest Prize Draw Rules
Contestants are eligible to win a maximum of one (1) prize.
- To enter the Dance Victoria Ticket Contest prize draws, individuals must fill out a prize draw ballot and submit it into the ballot box.
- Ballots submitted become the property of GVPL. They will be destroyed after the contest closes; names of winners will be shared with POV.
- Number of Entries. One (1) per person at each branch. Photocopied ballots will not be counted.
- Program entry period. Ballots can be submitted from Monday, November 2, 2026 at 10 am until Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 6 pm.
- The chances of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- Winners will be randomly drawn from the ballots submitted during the program entry period. Winners will be selected to match number of prizes.
The prize is one pair of tickets to Dance Victoria’s presentation of Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s Nutcracker for the evening performance on Friday, November 27, 2026 or Saturday, November 28, 2026 at 7 pm.
- If a prize winner is not eligible or cannot be contacted after 48 hours, GVPL has the right to qualify another participant and GVPL is released from any liability or responsibility in this regard.
- By submitting a ballot, each participant agrees to accept and abide by these rules.
- By submitting a ballot, each participant agrees that GVPL and its trustees, officers, employees, agents, and assignees are not liable or responsible for any loss, damage or injury of any kind arising out of or in connection with the prizes awarded.
- By entering the prize draw, winners’ consent to the use of personal information for the purposes of administering the program and notifying the winners, unless permission is otherwise granted to receive additional information from GVPL.
- By claiming a prize, the winner consents to the use of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and city of residence without compensation for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium which GVPL considers appropriate.
- All prizes must be claimed within 5 days of notification. After 5 days, prizes become the property of GVPL, and GVPL is released from any liability or responsibility in this regard.
- GVPL reserves the right to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of any prize for any reason whatsoever.
- GVPL reserves the right to withdraw or terminate the prize draw at any time without prior notice.
- These rules are available upon request from GVPL.
- The prize draw is subject to all federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
