Free menstrual products are available at every GVPL branch. Pads and tampons are available in public and staff washrooms, including women’s, men’s, gender-neutral, and accessible spaces.
In 2023, GVPL signed the United Way BC’s Period Promise, a province-wide initiative to provide free access to menstrual products and help address period poverty. This service reflects our commitment to supporting the health, dignity, and well-being of community members.
Products are available to library visitors, community members, and staff, provided in a manner that respects privacy and dignity.
This effort is part of our broader mission to remain responsive to community needs and foster inclusive environments where everyone feels supported.
